It's pretty hard to believe that Ryan and I have been married for 5 years already. It feels just like yesterday that we were riding off on a tandem bike through a tunnel of friends holding sparklers. I am so grateful to God for blessing me with Ryan and I look forward to all the many more years we will celebrate together.
To keep with tradition, every year we celebrate our anniversary by having a photoshoot with a theme that is based on the traditional anniversary gifts. Click on the number to see our shoots from years 1, 2, 3 and 4. For year 5 the anniversary gift is WOOD so we decided to keep it simple and playful. We went in our backyard and had a small bonfire so we could roast marshmallows and make s'mores together. As new homeowners, we loved the idea of incorporating our very own backyard in the shoot plus Ryan in all his manliness loves chopping wood and making fires so it was the perfect idea for us.
Jessica Guenther Decker from Blue Water Studio did an incredible job with this shoot and I am thrilled with the results. For those in Oneonta and the surrounding areas, please be sure to check her work out! She was amazed at how efficient Ryan and I were at being photographed. I told her we have quite the experience with photoshoots, haha. So that being said, thank you to my patient and loving husband for always going along with my crazy and wild ideas! Here's to many more! I already have ideas for next year's theme ;)
